8 Months

Makayla is 8 months now. She loves to climb all over mommy and daddy (you could say we are the ultimate playgrounds right now). She still does not have any teeth but here soon she will. Her favorite sleeping pal is Tapatio and she loves to crawl over to the couch (or whatever else) and pull her up to standing. She is becoming very vocal and had just the cutest smile that always pops up when she wants something. We are excited for it to really be Spring so we can go on walks and go out and play. Her favorite food is bananas and her absolute least favorite would have to be peas. Her hair is still straight as a pin but I really don't mind that too much. She has so much fun at bathtime splashing and eating the ducky's head. One of her favorite toys is none other than the remote. You put something in front of her that she can play with and she will crawl right over it to whatever is off limits. She completely hates being confined in her pack and play. If she is not playing with the remote she is trying to snarl mommy's computer into some nasty beast that daddy has to fix. She loves her grandparents and she is a major flirt. A boy comes into the room and she puts on that smile with those big blue eyes and cute round cheeks (she is basically a pro). She has fun making mom and dad laugh in church because she is being so loud (because she is excited and happy). We love our little girl to the ends of the earth and farther and are so excited to have more fun adventures with her. We are hoping and praying her hip is wonderfully healed and we will thank the Lord (as we do every night) for our little girl and her good health. We are so grateful to the Lord for the blessing of our precious Makayla and we will do the best we can to raise her righteously. Loving her with all our being- Natasha and Kyle

Hi ho

So it has been a long time since I posted. The whole family is doing well. Makayla is out of her harness and is crawling up a storm (and getting fast too). She knows how to pull herself up to standing and she is getting really good at driving mom crazy at times. We get to go back to the Pediatric Orthopedist at the end of April for a final decision on surgery or no surgery. Kyle is finishing up his semester strongly and then he only has one year left (woohoo) of course then there is a masters progam to go to. He has interviewed for an intership here in Cedar and we are praying that he gets it. I am endevoring to lose the pregnancy weight by going to Zumba once a week. I hope to lose 15 pounds by the end of the summer!!! This past week I have been extremely jealous of Hannah as it was snowing here and she was in California at Disneyland. One really exciting thing that is just so wonderful is that my best friend is pregnant (yay). So for all intensive purposes, Makayla will have a new cousin in September as we call Becky "Aunt B". It has been an adventure switching to solid foods and sometimes a real struggle because Makayla hates peas and she really doesn't like squash or green beans (I wouldn't either in that form) but is has been really quite fun to see her reactions. She is such a small baby. She is now 8 months old and she still fits into 3-6 month clothes. She may be tiny but she has energy enough for 10 babies her size. She is a very active little cutie and loves to climb on mount mommy. Her grandparents absolutely adore her and love to come visit for vacations. So the other day Kyle was just doing some fun baby talk stuff with her and he said the word "booger" and she let out the biggest funniest laugh I have ever heard it was a hilarious sound. Well I better get doing dinner. Seems I do that a lot. Have a nice day.
